Alpha Assays
Virtually any target can be quickly and easily measured using Alpha technology, an improved alternative to quantitative ELISA assays and ELISA reagents. Such targets include enzymes, receptor-ligand interactions, low-affinity interactions, second messenger levels, DNA, RNA, proteins, protein-protein interactions, peptides, sugars and small molecules.
- Ease-of-use: homogeneous assay with no wash requirement and no separation steps
- Fast: results in 3 hours for most applications
- High sensitivity: detect down to femtogram levels of target
- Large dynamic range: 4-5 logs
- Compatible with many samples types: serum, plasma, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), tissue extracts, cell culture supernatants, cell lysates, and more
Choose the homogenous assay right for you:
- AlphaLISA® – when running large numbers of ELISA assays from the same sample or working with a difficult matrix, serum or plasma
- AlphaLISA SureFire®Ultra™ – an excellent choice for studying pathways or phosphorylated proteins in whole cells, or studying endogenous receptors
- AlphaScreen® – perfect for studying fusion-tagged proteins or protein-protein interactions, and for testing cAMP, phosphorylated peptides or samples in a simple matrix
- Alpha Toolbox – when your target doesn’t have an off-the-shelf quantitative ELISA assay, the toolbox gives you everything you need to create your own
For research use only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.

Convert troublesome traditional ELISAs to a far superior alternative - Revvity's highly sensitive, homogeneous AlphaLISA platform for biomarkers and cytokines. Our exclusive AlphaLISA assay platform offers a wide dynamic range and easy automation for analysis of biomarkers, cytokines and other analytes. With AlphaLISA you can also shorten the time it takes you to run assays to less than 3 hours and benefit from small sample volumes (1-5 µL) to conserve precious sample.

Protein-protein interactions
Handle large biomolecular interactions with ease.
Handle large biomolecular interactions with ease.
- Ease-of-use: few addition steps, fast assay development
- Broad range of affinities: detect strong or weak interactions, from pM to mM affinity
- Distance: measure very large protein or antibody complexes – spanning up to 200 nm or more
- High avidity: multiple binding sites on each bead enables use of nanomolar concentrations of antibodies or proteins, as well as use of low affinity binders
- Conserve reagents: robust assays using nM concentrations of proteins/antibodies
Epigenetics
Epigenetics is the analysis of heritable traits that are not transmitted by sequence information but rather through modification of the DNA methylation state and Histone methylation/acetylation driven by environmental factors such as lifestyle, toxins and stress.
Epigenetics is the analysis of heritable traits that are not transmitted by sequence information but rather through modification of the DNA methylation state and Histone methylation/acetylation driven by environmental factors such as lifestyle, toxins and stress.
Revvity made available for epigenetics research a range of biochemical and cellular assays. AlphaLISA® epigenetics toolbox reagents were designed for the detection of specific methylation and acetylation marks on histone peptide substrates. AlphaLISA epigenetic cellular detection kits were designed to detect endogenous epigenetic modifications on Histone 3 in a no-wash, all-in-one well format. In addition to the acetylation and methylation assays mentioned above, other types of post-translational modification detection assays have been created using Alpha reagents to detect specific epigenetic marks on both peptide and full-length histone and protein substrates.
